McDonald's have announced that they are keeping on the “Mighty Wings” as a permanent menu item that will be offered nationally.

The wings will be available starting this fall. The Christian Science Monitor clarifies that they will be offered in limited numbers on September 9. McDonald's locations all over the US will start stocking them on September 24.

The bone-in chicken wings are also being offered by giants such as KFC. They have been available at McDonald's before, in the 90s and 2000s. The company stopped selling them in 2003, but started testing them again in Atlanta last year.

As I wrote, Burger King are also rolling out a new product this fall. They will be competing with McDonald's for a share of the budget menu market with their $1 (€0.75) French Fry Burger.
