The prestigious annual "50 Coolest Websites" list put together by Time Warner Magazine will also feature McAfee SiteAdvisor. McAfee stated in a press release that its online security watchdog was considered for inclusion in the magazine's list because of its pioneering Web safety service that has evolved to index safety results from in excess of 6.4 million Websites.

"McAfee SiteAdvisor aims to keep you out of trouble -- or, to be precise, stop you from clicking through to websites where spyware, worms, and other cyber threats lurk ... Why would you need this? Because simply clicking through to a suspect site can wreak havoc on a PC, and risky sites comprise a growing portion of search returns," argued Time Warner Magazine explaining the choice.

"We're very grateful to Time for this award, and we're pleased that McAfee SiteAdvisor is increasingly recognized as an essential tool for safe surfing and safe searching," said Bill Kerrigan, Executive Vice President, McAfee Consumer. "McAfee SiteAdvisor has pioneered a new approach to Web safety by arming consumers with the information they need, when they need it, to make smarter, safer clicks."
