Windows 8 will be released on October 25 and all buyers will obviously need a security product capable of providing comprehensive protection in front of all online threats out there.

McAfee proudly announced today that all its consumer and enterprise products have been updated with support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. What's more, if you already own an active McAfee subscription, all installed products will be automatically updated to Windows 8-compatible versions.

“Our developers have been working with Microsoft to offer consumers and enterprises the tools necessary for protection against all threat vectors and against data loss,” said Simon Hunt, vice president and CTO, endpoint security at McAfee.

If McAfee isn't exactly your cup of tea, Symantec has also updated its products to work on Windows 8 and all of them can be downloaded right from Softpedia. More information however, including download links, is available here.
