A lot of companies promised it but only McAfee came through

After Symantec and Kaspersky announced that a single-license solution will be available soon, McAfee won the battle by actually launching All Access, an offer that will allow customers to use multiple products, all coordinated by one interface.

A report commissioned by McAfee revealed that 60% of consumers own at least three internet-enabled devices that require protection. The same study also showed that many users find it difficult to come up with time and cost-effective ways to protect all of them and that's why most refuse to secure their apparatus all together.

To come to their aid, the cyber security provider came up with the new product that is actually the first of its kind. Even though the competition announced their plans to release such all-in-one applications long ago, it seems as McAfee actually pulled it together and made this real.

“We’re excited to launch McAfee All Access today to meet increasing consumer demand for a single solution that safeguards users’ internet-connected devices and protects their digital lifestyles,” revealed Todd Gebhart, co-president of the company.

“Users now have the protection they need without having to make buying decisions for each and every one of their devices—or go through the hassle of dealing with individual licenses each time they want to add or eliminate a device. From a simple, central console, McAfee All Access uses a single subscription, eliminating all complex licensing and management issues.”

If we look at the problem from a financial point of view, the offering might help customers save up to $200(€ 140) as the individual version costs close to $100(€70) and the household variant comes at $150 (€ 110) per year.

All Access for smartphones and tablets includes features like anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-phishing protection, safe searching, browsing and shopping, locate and track functions, remote lock and wipe features, and backup and restore options.

Desktop, laptop and notebook owners will benefit from two-way firewalls, anti-spam tools and home network protection features.

For now, the product is available at retailers in countries such as United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Portugal and Japan.
