"McAfee, Inc., today announced that it is offering special incentives to customers of IBM Internet Security Systems to switch to McAfee solutions," McAfee started the press release.

Some time ago, IBM bought Internet Security Systems, a fact that was very annoying for McAfee. So, the company decided to release a new program meant to attract users and partners to use its solutions.

"We're hearing from
customers that they are concerned that their level of security will decrease following IBM's acquisition of ISS. ISS customers can feel safe switching to McAfee because of our strong track record and clear vision for the future of security risk management.

Our dedicated focus on security ensures that it will never take a back seat to systems, servers or semiconductors," said Chris Kenworthy, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, McAfee, Inc.

"As part of the switch program, McAfee is offering free installation through the McAfee Deployment Assistance Program (DAP) for customers who switch from ISS products. Customers will also receive free training courses through McAfee University as well as free Platinum Support, which includes a designated technical account manager. Customers who purchase McAfee IntruShield will also get McAfee IntruShield Security Manager at no additional cost," McAfee added.

So, it seems like the battle for power continues, a competition that can bring us more quality and performance from the products resulted.
