The world renowned security solutions provider McAfee appointed Stuart McClure as its worldwide chief technology officer. His new role will be to supervise customer requirements, knowledge sharing, strategy, research and patents.

Before being named CTO, McClure was the senior VP and general manager or McAfee’s Risk and Compliance unit. He is also the co-founder of Foundstone, a company that was acquired by McAfee in 2004.

“To keep our customers safe, address the explosion of malware and digital devices, and stay ahead of our competitors across a global economy, we must embrace a holistic solutions approach to security and continue to evolve to stay ahead of the bad guys,” said McClure.

“I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead and drawing upon my product strategy and development experience to work with our leadership team to identify and develop the next generation of security solutions.”
