McAfee, Inc has recently announced that it has extended its McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) program by adding 11 new partners from United States and Europe. This technology partnering program is meant to speed up the development of interoperable security products, but also to facilitate their integration within complex user environments.

“In 2007, McAfee made the strategic decision to unlock its technology architecture, allowing integrations with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator platform, Vulnerability Management Service and Endpoint Encryption solutions,” stated Ed Barry, senior director, McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. “Today, the program includes more than 65 partners that are collaborating with us to maximize the value of existing customer investments, to reduce time to problem resolution and to ultimately lower operational costs. We are proud of our growth and look forward to the program’s continued success.”

The new additions to the SIA program improve the McAfee portfolio with innovative uses within several fields of action, including authentication, security event and log management, application and database security, theft and forensics, as well as power management, data backup and wireless security. Through its collaboration with its SIA partners, McAfee aims to create more comprehensive security and compliance software while preserving an open architecture, supplying an SDK (software development kit) and continuously verifying the compatibility of the integration components.

On the other hand, all the partners included in the Sales Teaming Program add more value to the McAfee portfolio, and allow the sales force and channel to provide more comprehensive security solution relations with business customers.

Overall, the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program enhances the process of developing security products and simplifies their integration within complex environments. With the help of this program, partners have the possibility to add to their products the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator software, the company's security-leading platform for security and compliance management, and other McAfee solutions, including McAfee Endpoint Encryption applications or the McAfee Vulnerability Management Service.
