McAfee's Security Risk Management Portfolio Gets 2 Additions

McAfee, Inc. has unveiled through a press release published on August 7, 2006, two new additions to its security risk management portfolio. McAfee Foundstone Enterprise 5.0 and McAfee Preventsys Compliance Auditor and Risk Analyzer will deliver upon implementation vulnerabilities management solutions while permitting of an automation of the security compliance reporting process.

"Our enterprise customers are increasingly demanding an end-to-end consolidated view of vulnerability, configuration and compliance information that enables them to manage their security risk," said George Kurtz, senior vice president of risk management at McAfee. "McAfee's integrated risk management offerings are designed to provide customers with the means to successfully prioritize their risks, protect their critical assets, and monitor their security compliance."

With McAfee Foundstone Enterprise 5.0 and McAfee Preventsys Risk Analyzer are already available to be introduced onto UNIX systems where they will deliver in-depth assessment of vulnerabilities and an advanced, detailed risk posture, complemented by two-way SNMP communication features meant to automate operational compliance reporting processes.

"The rising importance of risk management and government regulations are driving organizations to implement solutions which offer a holistic view of their security status and compliance standing," said Charles Kolodgy, research director at IDC. "As IT infrastructures become more complex, security managers need to prioritize their security to protect the most critical assets.
