McAfee has implemented a market strategy meant to simplify business management. In this context, the Ingram Micro and Tech Data companies have been give authorization to offer McAfee's
IntruShield Network Intrusion Protection and Foundstone Enterprise Vulnerability Management products. Access Distribution and Arrow Electronics' MOCA division were the exclusive previous enterprise distributors of McAfee's solutions that are now available via broadline distribution.
"IT resellers specializing in network security play a crucial role ensuring businesses of all sizes protect their information assets by managing any number of costly threats including malware, worms, spyware and denial-of-services attacks," said Tech Data Senior Vice President, U.S. Marketing Bob O'Malley. "By leveraging McAfee's IntruShield and Foundstone solutions, resellers can more profitably deliver comprehensive network security services that provide constant threat management. This enables resellers to focus resources on growing their business instead of spending valuable time at a customer site battling the day's latest security threat."
"Cyber attacks and security threats don't discriminate. That's why it's so important that VARs proactively manage their clients' network and stay ahead of these threats by deploying the right security software," said Scott Shimooka, senior vendor business manager at Ingram Micro.
