Mazda “pocket sized” cars compared to giant polluting vehicles is a far more eco-friendly option. Since green improvements can't satisfy the clients' needs on their own, the major company is putting all its hopes in its new "Skyactiv" baby.
"Skyactiv" appears to be an appropriate name since they state the sky is the limit for their announced projects. The main goal is to be a more than appealing fuel-efficiency standard,
AutoblogGreen informs.
"Our goal is to improve fuel economy globally by 30 percent," by 2025, Mazda Motor Corp has announced. It seems that the company has it all covered, counting on innovative technology to solve this puzzle. "And our answer is still the ICE. Our top priority is to radically improve this technology," declared Planning executive officer Kiyoshi Fujiwara.
If the innovative technologies aiming to make new Mazda more fuel-efficient turn out to be cost-effective, this path will represent a win-win situation, both for the company and for its customers.
The company preserves its optimism, hoping new improvements will raise their products’ popularity. So far, they have a strong motive to brag about their technology, since the gas engine of 2012 Mazda3's SkyActiv is currently one of Ward's Auto World's 2012 Ten Best Engines.
