Maxthon has received a new update this morning that brings several performance improvements and feature updates, as well as better support for the newly-launched Windows 8.1 operating system.

Although it’s still in beta development stage, Maxthon Cloud Browser 4.2.0.1800 addresses many bugs spotted in previous releases, so the new version comes with improvements for the Favorites menu in the MX3 style skin, as well as with enhanced stability for the webkit stability.

In addition to Windows 8.1, Maxthon continues to offer support for all Windows versions on the market, including XP, Vista, and 7.

Keep in mind, however, that this is still a beta, which means that some performance issues might be experienced on certain websites.

On the other hand, in case you’re into beta testing, download Maxthon Cloud Browser 4.2.0.1800 right now to see what’s new before the stable build is launched.
