Maxis and Ozura Launch MaxGames

Maxis Communication Berhad, one of the Malaysia's leading telecommunications provider, announced the launch of MaxGames, the country's first subscription based mobile gaming and community portal.

MaxGames runs on FunlogiX, the mobile gaming community platform developed by Ozura Mobile.

Mobile gaming, a multi billion dollar industry overseas, is fast becoming a staple amongst Malaysian mobile users. In line with this, Maxis hopes to spur gaming in the country with MaxGames, an interactive gaming and community portal which offers subscribers a host of benefits and services including tournament games, multiplayer gaming, clubs and blogs, and a virtual gift shop.

MaxGames' first batch of tournament games is the Dongeng Series which will run until December. The Dongeng Series is a group of five games based on popular Malaysian folklores namely Puteri Gunung Ledang, Pontianak, Badang, Mahsuri and Naga Tasik Chini.

The portal will also offer Ozura's multiplayer game, "The Duel Online". Another five multiplayer games are slated for release soon.
