Everyone that's into action or extreme sports has heard about the amazing GoPro camera, a small digital camera that can be attached to a helmets, skateboards, surfboards etc. to capture all the action from a new and unique perspective.

Unfortunately, GoPro cameras have a very short battery life of around 90 minutes or so, which is somewhat of a burden when you're trying to record multiple hours of footage. Furthermore, if you attach a GoPro LCD BacPac or enable the Wi-Fi, the battery life goes down to about 40 minutes of actual footage.

A solution to this problem could be the GoPro Battery BacPac2 which will give you can extra hour of shooting time, but that might not be enough in some situations.

Meet CagePro, world's first and only powered cage for GoPro HERO cameras. With CagePro, you will be able to attach a common Canon DSLR battery (LP-6E) to your GoPro camera increasing its running time.

Powered by the LP-6E battery, your GoPro camera could run more than 5 hours straight on a single charge, which makes it ideal for long Time Lapse projects or lengthy video takes.

CagePro is compatible with the latest GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+ cameras and through its unique design it manages to solve various problems encountered by regular GoPro filmmakers.

The cage comes with additional mounting points that allow you to add various accessories. In addition to that, CagePro also incorporates a threaded 62mm lens filter mount, which allows you to add ND or CPL filters to improve image quality and reduce shutter speed on bright days.

CagePro is now available for purchase at a base price of $150 / €111 and $180 / €133 for the version with a top-mounted handle. In addition to that, you will have to spend $30 / €22 more on an optional skeleton housing that allows the camera to use USB power from an external source.
