Developer Rockstar says that both Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption are getting a triple experience point weekend until Monday morning, allowing all gamers to log into the game and level up their characters faster than usual.

Max Payne 3 was launched during 2012 and the developers have released a number of downloadable content packs for the game, allowing players to experience new modes and use a wider array of weapons.

Red Dead Redemption is an even older title, but it has developed a dedicated multiplayer following, which tends to focus on the undead-powered modes.

At the moment, Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto V, which has been delayed from its original spring launch date to September 17.

The new game will apparently use a multiplayer structure that’s inspired by that seen in Max Payne 3.
