Remedy Entertainment, the actual developer behind the successful Max Payne series, has once again expressed its thoughts on the upcoming Max Payne 3 title, which is being made by Rockstar Games, saying that the result is quite brilliant.

The first two Max Payne games delighted millions of people from all around the world at the beginning of the 2000s, with developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher Rockstar Games treating players with some top-notch shooter experiences.

Now, with Max Payne 3, Rockstar’s own studios are handling the development, taking the game, alongside its actual protagonist, into a whole new direction.

While many have expressed doubts over this change, Remedy is quite happy with what Rockstar is doing, and once again confessed its utter admiration for Max Payne 3.

According to Matias Myllyrinne, the CEO of the Finnish studio, the new game is “brilliant.”

“I've had a chance to play it and we've worked with Rockstar a little bit - obviously, they're doing the heavy lifting. They're doing the development. But they wanted our input on a couple of occasions and we've had loads of our people, our core group, who worked on the first two games, give input and it's awesome," he told Games Industry.

The whole collaboration between Rockstar and Remedy has been top-notch, according to the CEO, who’s more than confident that the finished product will blow fans away in terms of quality.

"Those guys, they just don't put out bad games. And so, in that respect, it's very - it's almost like the best position to be in. It's like somebody's making a great game and you just get to give them input, and it's already brilliant so I've enjoyed it," he said. "I can't obviously - I don't want to give any spoilers and can't give out any spoilers, but it's a testament to their attention to detail and it's a testament to their passion and dedication. It'll be worth the wait."

Max Payne 3 is coming out next month for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Sadly, a demo won’t be released before its actual launch.
