Rockstar has slapped the final and official launch date on Max Payne 3 for the Mac, and it’s tomorrow, June 20. You’ll be able to grab it from the Mac App Store in less than 24 hours from now.

Both the PC version and the Mac installment support a number of advanced graphics options, Rockstar says, “scalable high-resolution textures and character models, DirectX11 features, multi-monitor support and 3D.”

The company has released an official trailer which we’ve embedded just above the text for your viewing pleasure, and the plot goes a bit like this:

“For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal. No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out.”

For a decent gaming experience, Rockstar says you’ll need a Mac that packs an Intel Dual Core Xeon / Core i Series 2.4 Ghz processor, OS X 10.7.5 Lion, 4GB of RAM, NVIDIA 8800GT or AMD Radeon HD 4870 with 512 VRAM, and a whopping 35GB of free storage space.
