OS X 10.9.2 can’t come fast enough for some of us

Apple has been dealing with a scrolling bug in Mavericks since day one, and four months down the line the flaw still hasn’t been addressed.

Immediately after upgrading to Mavericks I noticed my Magic Mouse would stop responding to scrolling in various apps, including third-party browsers and the built-in Mail application.

To get scrolling working again I have to quit these apps and restart them. It happens not once, not twice, but several times in a single work day.

I’ve tried a couple of so-called fixes and they did nothing for me. I am reluctant to try installing third-party apps to address the matter, and even if these were viable solutions, as a good, paying customer I’m entitled to an official fix (yes, Mavericks is free, but my iMac certainly wasn't).

Heck, even a Support document with a workaround would be great as long as I know the company is working on the issue.

Granted, the scrolling bug doesn’t seem to be as widespread as the email fetching problems (also plaguing Mavericks users) I’ve been hearing about. But it’s common enough to deserve a prompt fix.

So, what’s going on, Apple? For me, OS X 10.9.2 can’t come fast enough.
