Among the first developers to disclose their iPhone lineup is Maverick Software, a developer of casual games that is kind enough to offer a free game with the debut of the App Store. Two others are priced at an affordable $4.99, while a third app has a worth of just 99 cents (hopefully the same doesn't go for the gameplay too).

So here they are, as described by their makers:

Comet Cowboy - Mine comets in the deepest reaches of space with your laser lasso!

"Comet Cowboy is a completely original iPhone game that uses the multi-touch screen to send you on a mining expedition in outer space." According to Maverick, some of the key features of this game include drawing a lasso around comets as they sail by, capturing and mining them; moving around a vast star field with the flick of your finger; mining enough comets in the time limit to move on to more challenging levels; capturing the mysterious "dark matter" comets; an auto save feature for when a call interrupts your gameplay session (it's a phone, after all) and, of course, a high score list.

The game will be available on the App Store at launch for $4.99.

Next up, Yulan Mahjong Solitaire - The classic tile matching game for your iPhone!

"Starting with a board stacked with Mahjong tiles, remove pairs of tiles until you've cleared them all!" As with Comet Cowboy, Maverick feels there are quite a few main features worth mentioning, such as full multi-touch support for zooming, panning, and selecting tiles; 8 different board layouts; a hint function for when you get stuck; reshuffle the tiles if you run out of moves; infinite undo to take moves back; and auto save.

Priced at $4.99, Yulan Mahjong Solitaire will also be available at the iPhone App Store launch.

Snowglobe, which puts a virtual snowglobe on your iPhone or iPod Touch, is a "fully customizable snowglobe for your phone." For just 99 cents, you get to shake the phone to make the snowflakes float around. As you might have already guessed, the game uses the iPhone's accelerometer to do its thing. The cool part is that you can pick any photo from your photo library to be in the globe, or use one of the bulit-in graphics. You can even adjust the size, speed, and number of snowflakes, Maverick assures us.

The Snowglobe app will also be available at the iPhone App Store launch.

Lastly, Blip Solitaire - The classic video game for one! has iPhone owners playing the classic virtual tennis game by themselves. Players simply use the touchscreen to move their paddle and keep the ball bouncing for as long as they can.

Blip Solitaire will be FREE at the launch of the App Store.
