Wireless headsets, particularly those that use the Bluetooth connection, aren't known for being overly varied in their design, and Maverick Lifestyle sought to take advantage of this by creating one that looks like a hockey puck.
While most news over the past two days has dealt with graphics solutions, Maverick Lifestyle decided to tread on the realm of sound.
What it did was create a new member for its collection of wireless headsets, one dubbed Nica Sunrise and shaped like a round disk.
Granted, it is the outer pad that sits against the ear that bears that round shape, while the soft and flexible molded rubber ear clip keeps it firmly in place.
Basically, it is bundled with clips that let one place the Nica Sunrise on the right or left ears while the aforementioned round design will provide comfort while wearing.
In other words, the Maverick Lifestyle Nica Sunrise boasts a compact, open-air design without an uncomfortable ear insert.
The product is capable of -12db of digital noise suppression and features large 13mm speakers and magnetic attachment to charging docks.
The company also gave it a sliding power switch, an operating range of up to 30 feet (10 meters), multi-point (can pair with two phones) and support for Headset and Handsfree Bluetooth profiles.
Furthermore, it weighs 14 grams, can last for 4 hours talk time (150 hours in standby) and can fully recharge its lithium polymer battery in one hour.
Other tasks that Nica Sunrise can carry out include receiving calls during recharge and automatically reconnecting to one's phone when charging on Car Dock, by means of nicaConnect.
