Fresh off the success of “Magic Mike,” where he plays only a supporting role but really nails it, Matthew McConaughey is getting ready for another release – an NC-17 rated one, this time.

“Killer Joe” tells the messed-up story of a young man who runs into massive debt with a drug lord and comes up with a plan (aided by his own father) of killing his mother for the insurance money.

He turns for help to a local policeman who isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty, but he asks for his young sister as advance payment.

The video above is a conversation between the policeman, McConaughey, and the sister, Juno Temple.

Below is the official trailer, for a bit more context.

“Killer Joe” also stars Emile Hirsch, Thomas Hayden Church and Gina Gershon, and is directed by the Oscar-winning William Friedkin.
