Actor Matt Dillon recently confessed he never reached Tom Cruise's level of fame, but also doesn't envy Cruise for being a superstar.
Back in 1983, Dillon, 41, was more famous than Cruise, when they were both cast in teen films, but after that, Matt has gone to star in a series of gritty dramas and quirky comedies, while Cruise has appeared in a string of multi-million dollar action blockbusters.
Dillon says, "I was famous before all those guys (Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe). I was the second youngest in the cast, but I was a screen veteran you know?
"I wouldn't swap careers with anyone. I wouldn't even swap careers with Tom Cruise. He's had success in a way few actors have, but I wouldn't swap. Really."
