Another hour, another theory about the ZZ moment… This time, it's about Marco Materazzi's alleged insult towards Zidane. And the Italian's admitting that he insulted Zizou started off an unbelievable madness inside the media. All the newspapers want to find as much as they can about the topic, and most of them even make up stories to win the top spot in readers' preferences.
Well, a new story came up about
Materazzi's insult. So, let's hear it:
"I went to him and hold his tie-shirt for a little bit. He then turned to me and said: . I thought of him as being very arrogant, and I insulted him. But it was one of those insults that you hear on the field every time", said Materazzi. And there is nothing new until now. The news came in later yesterday night.
After talking to some Italian players around the two, the Italian journalists gave Materazzi's answer. "I will take your wife's tie-shirt after the game". This is the phrase that saw Zidane lose his cool. At least that's the Italian version of it. And the news has been admitted as correct by some of Materazzi's close ones, who decided to remain quiet about their identity.
It's true that we are all looking for stories to keep on writing and incredible topics for the viewers, but if that is what really happened on the field, then the world media has some real explaining to do; especially the English one. But, as I stated before in my other articles about ZZ, this is nothing but another allegation. My opinion is that we will never get to know how the two insulted each other. It would be a pity otherwise, since we'll have nothing more to invent for the next months.
