German publisher dtp entertainment has announced that it is going to bring us a great point and click adventure title based on the life of the renowned female spy and dancer Mata Hari. Her adventures will be exclusively available for PC owners and the game will be launched sometime this fall and, if we are to judge by the screenshots already released, it will be one of those titles where the heroine doesn't wear too many clothes. Hopefully, we're wrong - point and click adventure games should be bought for other reasons than nakedness.

As I was saying, in Mata Hari, players will slip into the role of the female spy and start uncovering critical secrets in a right before World War I universe filled with celebrities: we will meet, along our way, scientist Marie Curie, Major Georges Ladoux - her first contact with French secret service activities, Major Arnold von Kalle - the supervisor of German secret service activities in Madrid and the one who gave Mata first contact to Germany. We'll also meet renowned M?rc?des Jellinek (yes, the person responsible for the name of the German automobiles) and the Swiss Oscar Samsonet, Mata Hari's tutor.

At the moment, we don't have many details about the story of the game, but we do know that we should expect to take part in decadent and wild parties, search the bedrooms of the most influential men of the ?poque and uncover secrets using exotic appearance, charm and persuasiveness. And this just makes me giggle a little, since I am sure that lots of beer-drinking, burger-eating males will play the game and love it.

However, we have high hopes regarding the game as an adventure title, not as a male-magnet, since the ones responsible for Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Hal Barwood and Noah Falstein take care of the story and the game design. Stick with Softpedia as we'll bring you the latest updates on the game.
