The only question that remains: what's Bungie going to do, write a new code?

Just as the multiplayer Beta of Halo 3 has ended, fresh new details have been revealed, thanks to the hard work and patience of steady-handed Beta testers Losingstreak and Shadow Chris 1. They've discovered Master Chief's face, even though Bungie never wanted users to see it!

Then again, if Bungie never intended to reveal Master Chief's face to gamers, then did they write the code? Yeah, it's a bug/glitch that gamers could see; nevertheless, it's a real humanoid face. Scroll down below to see the gameplay footage showing a Spartan face with a scar on the left cheek. That's not an accident. The fact that it's there, not the scar itself. For all we now, it could be Master Chief's wife that marked him like that. There was a time when he sort of had a bit of a beer belly you know, so that's probably the reason.

Although his official military designation is Spartan-117, he is most often referred to simply as "Master Chief", short for his rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. The assignment of Navy enlisted rates to him and other SPARTAN-IIs resembles the usage of these rates by the United States Navy, a correlation further evidenced by the fact that his unit is attached to the UNSC's "Naval Special Warfare" division.

Anyway, don't be scared that you'll probably miss it. The video starts out with normal Halo 3 Beta gameplay. The two players must find each other and get close (real close), in order for one of them to be able to visually pierce into the other's helmet.

Master Chief doesn't look human all that, does he? Look at his eyes. But then again, I suppose Bungie never had plans to reveal Spartan-117's face, as what we're seeing below is something saying "just in case!" ("Just in case they think of visually piercing through another player's helmet, right through that spot that we intentionally let unprotected!" - not a Bungie statement, don't get too excited).

Bungie has two options now:

- patch Master Chief's helmet and never say anything about his face again, as they probably haven't got anything prepared; - staff will be working overtime to come up with a good Master Chief face model (scar and all) to keep fans pleased, now that they've discovered it.

Something's coming soon, I can feel it!
