Video captured after the blast reveals the extensive damages the accident caused

On Thursday, a fuel truck crashing into a concrete flyover caused a massive explosion near the capital city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia.

The first video captured after the explosion has emerged on YouTube, and it depicts a horrific incident. The blast affected traffic, having occurred in the vicinity of a major transport artery in the capital city.

14 died and more that 135 were wounded, RT reports. Several buildings sustained damages, and one minibus was set on fire in the blast.

"I was inside the building when the blast came. Then boom, the building collapsed. Furniture, chairs and cabinets blasted into the room I was in," 55-year-old Pakistani Kushnoo Akhtara said, having witnessed the event from a nearby facility.

According to the Huffington Post, the driver was distracted by an accident on the road and lost control of the vehicle.

"The truck driver was surprised by a road accident on its route, causing it to crash into one of the pillars of the bridge," Riyadh Civil Defense spokesman Captain Mohamed Hubail Hammadi said. [Update, November 1, 2012, later]:  26 people have been reported dead at this time, and the police investigation is still ongoing.
