Venezuelan politicians battle it out during a meeting of the country's National Assembly, released on YouTube by Globovision Noticias.

This clip was sent in by lawmaker Juan Guaido, the caption describes. It reveals how unstable the political status of the South American country has become post-Chavez.

Members of Parliament engage in a massive fistfight, leaving many of them bloodied, cut and bruised.

According to the Independent, the brawl broke out when the opposition lobbied against losing legislative power following legislation passed after the mid-April presidential elections.

They have been banned from holding public rallies and sitting on legislative committees. MP Ismael Garcia explains that a large banner has been brought in to convey the opposition's message.

At least 17 members of their coalition have been injured in the melee, while five members of the ruling party have been wounded.
