It can print at 600 mm/s if you don't care about quality

While taking things fast isn't that great for the quality of a 3D printer, sometimes you need something done quickly and precision isn't an issue. There's still a limit to how quick the process can go though.

If it's one that can go really fast that you want, you can check out the product released by F&B Rapid Production, a spin-off company from BBW University’s FIB Research Institute, based in Berlin, Germany.

This printer is not only very fast but very big as well. In fact, it is tall enough to tower over a human when placed on a table. Make sure it's a sturdy table by the way.

Here's the lowdown: while it's possible to print at a quality of 50 microns at 50 mm per second (hard to match for most other FDM printers), you can dial things up until you print at 600 mm/s (not clear how much the quality / layer thickness suffers).

PLA, ABA, PVA, HDPE, Nylon, TPE, Laywood, Laybrick, Ninjaflex, Gel-Lay, Lay-foam, and other materials are supported.

The full build envelope is of 700 x 300 x 700 mm / 27.5 x 11.8 x 27.5 inches.

The printer is called MelatBro BIG and is the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The minimum bid is of €5,900 / $7,300, but only if you're quick.
