During the New York Comic Con, the development team at BioWare has announced that its two most important current franchises, Dragon Age and Mass Effect, will get new comic book series and more tie-ins in the coming months.

Those who love Mass Effect will be able to read a one-shot comic written from the perspective of Blasto, the only Haner Specter.

The official announcement reads, “Blasto, who is described as having ‘a lover in every port and a gun in every tentacle’ doesn’t have time for your solid waste excretions. On a remote space station overlooking the Elcor homeworld the lone Spectre puts an end to the nefarious deeds of an outlaw band of mercenaries bent on galactic-wide domination.”

The book is written by Mac Walters and will get art from Omar Francia.

It will be sold via the Dark Horse digital store on November 7, which BioWare has already dubbed N7 Day.

Those who love the Dragon Age fantasy world will also get access to a new comic book, called Until We Sleep, which will be written by David Gaider from BioWare and will get art from Chad Hardin.

The series will follow King Alistair, Varic the dwarf and the pirate Isabella as they ally with the Qunari and then fight an evil mage.

The first issue will be introduced on March 27, 2013.

BioWare is also planning to publish a Dragon age encyclopedia, called The World of Thedas, which will introduce hundreds of pieces of art that fans have not yet seen while also offering information on the factions and the characters of the universe.

The first volume of the encyclopedia will be offered on April 3.

At the moment, BioWare is working on anew Dragon Age game, called Inquisition.

More content for Mass Effect 3 has also been hinted at.
