Mass Effect was one of the most interesting games released in 2007, combining role playing elements with real time combat and a story line that had all the hallmarks of a BioWare experience: it was complex, epic and engaging.

Players took on the role of a Commander Shephard as humanity tried to become one of the important races in the galaxy, while also struggling to prevent an ancient enemy from destroying all life in the universe. All this while taking care of a super secret ship and a very diverse crew.

The title was initially released for gaming consoles and later received a PC port. BioWare also launched one piece of downloadable content, called Bring Down the Sky, which added a few hours of action to the game and rumors have appeared lately saying that the developer is already working on a sequel set to be officially unveiled at the Game Developers Conference this year.

Until then, you can slate your thirst for role playing intergalactic adventure by getting the Mass Effect Two Disc Edition, which is being listed on the site of GameStop as launching on February 10 for the price of just 19.99 dollars. If you buy the new title, you get the original game, the DLC element, the soundtrack, all the trailers released, the design galleries from the art department and a documentary detailing the making of the game.

It's interesting to see that a title about one and a half year old is getting re-released. Mass Effect can be replayed quite a lot, even if the story is pretty linear, and the amount of content that a player can get for 19.99 dollars is pretty big, making the Two Disc Edition an interesting purchase option in this period of drought for videogame lovers.
