BioWare boss Aaryn Flynn has confirmed that his team is discussing internally the possibility of releasing a Mass Effect Trilogy for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles but, as of right now, he can't say for sure if the project will come to fruition.

Mass Effect was one of the most popular franchises that appeared on the last-gen consoles, starting life on the Xbox 360 and PC, and then extending to the PS3 with the next two installments.

The series, even with its controversial ending, delivered a great role-playing shooter experience that put players in the shoes of Commander Shepard.

Now, while BioWare is working on the next game in the series, the studio's General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, has confirmed on Twitter that the team has discussed internally the possibility of launching a Mass Effect Trilogy pack for the PS4 and Xbox One, the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, respectively.

Even so, Flynn urges players to keep waiting for an official confirmation, as it all depends on how solid the plan will look in the future.

A Mass Effect Trilogy collection is already available on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but it's unclear just how much work is needed to make the games run on the new devices.
