14 DAY TRIAL // It seems that developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts are interested in promoting their upcoming Mass Effect 3 by asking their fans to put pressure on real-world governments to offer information on what they known about life on other planets.
The petition appears on its own mini-site linked to the official Mass Effect 3 one and allows gamers to sign a request for more information linked to real world alien presence.
It is not clear whether the United Kingdom government plans an official response to the request.
The Mass Effect universe involves a reality where humans have mastered the secrets of the mass effect drive and are able to explore the universe.
They have also successfully integrated into a community of other races and have a place in the leadership council, with the protagonist Commander Shepard also becoming a Specter, a value special forces operative.
Mass Effect 3 will be officially launched in North America on March 6 and in Europe on March 9.
