Electronic Arts has just released the Mass Effect: Infiltrator title game for iOS devices. The game does not have anything to do with the PC franchise’s plot, but players who manage to achieve something in the game will be able to upload newly discovered info on its servers.

This will help those who play Mass Effect 3 as their Galactic Readiness Rating will be boosted along with their War Assets. Basically, the more you play Mass Effect: Infiltrator and discover new intel, the more chances you have to survive the final Mass Effect 3 battle.

EA designed Mass Effect: Infiltrator as a supplemental story within the Mass Effect universe, so don’t expect any plot connections with the PC games. However, the iOS game offers hours of entertainment to all those who prefer shooters.

Mass Effect: Infiltrator is now available for $6.99 via App Store and it should be fully compatible with all iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad.
