Barely did BioWare release a new patch for Mass Effect 3 and already dedicated fans have started combing through the different files of the update and uncovered new references to the next and probably final downloadable content pack for the game's multiplayer mode, entitled Reckoning.

Mass Effect 3 came out almost a year ago and, while the fact that it included a cooperative multiplayer mode disappointed lots of fans, once they actually started playing it, many fell in love with the impressive experience, prompting BioWare to continue releasing new content, in the form of weapons, characters, and maps.

Now, even if the last Retaliation DLC was supposed to be the final one, Mass Effect fans have uncovered new mentions of a Reckoning DLC that's going to appear in the near future.

According to a user of the Clevernoob forums, the new update's files mention the introduction into the multiplayer of weapons that first appeared in the Omega single-player expansion (the Chakram launcher, Blood Pack Punisher, and the Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle).

What's more, the data-mined details work well with a leaked description that surfaced on Reddit earlier this week and clearly detailed some of the things included in the Reckoning DLC.

"The day of reckoning is nigh! The Reckoning Multiplayer Expansion brings six new never before seen co-op story missions to the game and new co-op gameplay modes. It provides four new maps to conquer and hazard variations of the Earth maps," the leaked description said.

"It also enables reinforcement packs that offer new kits for the salarians, krogans, humans and volus. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle)."

As of yet, however, BioWare hasn't commented on these new leaks, so expect something official soon enough.

New DLC has, however, been teased by some of the developers, so it's quite likely that new content is coming sooner rather than later, probably on the 1-year anniversary of the game on March 6.
