While Mass Effect games allowed people to play as either a male or female protagonist, all promotional efforts, like screenshots or videos, focused on the male version of Commander Shepard.

Ahead of Mass Effect 3's release, BioWare has finally decided to showcase Female Shepard, affectionately dubbed nicknamed FemShep by the community.

After letting fans choose the official version of the female Commander Shepard last year, BioWare has now released an epic video for Mass Effect 3 showcasing her and the stunning voice work provided by Jennifer Hale.

As you can see in the video above, BioWare is definitely promoting a Renegade version of FemShep, showcasing some of the truly awesome moments she'll get to experience when the full game is released.

Check out the trailer above and get ready for Mass Effect 3's launch on March 6, in North America, and March 9, in Europe, for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
