Mass Effect 3 Gets Digital Release on PSN, Has Pre-Order Bonuses

A day-and-date downloadable version of the game will appear alongside retail editions

BioWare and Sony have confirmed that next month’s Mass Effect 3 will also be available as a day-one digital download for the PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Store.

Mass Effect 3 is set to appear on March 6, in North America, and March 9, for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Besides the regular retail releases, the game is also going to be launched as a digital download on the PlayStation Store for PS3 owners from all around the world.

This digital copy of the game is already available for pre-order and those who do so can even take advantage of two special pre-order bonuses. They’ll get both the M55 Argus rifle and an exclusive Mass Effect 3 PS3 theme, which is only available with this unique offer, for free.
