BioWare has posted a new update on the pesky face import glitch that's been plaguing Mass Effect 3 players from all over the world, confirming that the next patch for the game will solve the issue.

Mass Effect 3, just like its predecessor, allows players to import their characters from previous titles into the new one.

Unlike Mass Effect 2, however, the recent game displayed an unfortunate error when lots of players tried bringing their old save game files into it.

This error, which related to the face import mechanic, meant that players were stuck with the standard faces of Commander Shepard, instead of the one they carefully created in previous games.

Now, BioWare has finally confirmed that the next patch for the game will solve the face import problem.

Unfortunately, the update is still caught in the certification process, which means that the studio can't say for sure when the patch is going to arrive on the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 platforms.

Expect some more news next week.
