Lots of bugs, including falling through the map, are present

I love the multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3, largely because I have quite a few friends I like to play with and because most of the times I end up working with strangers, they know what to do and how to play as a team.

Sadly, even with balance changes and updates, the online mode still features quite a few bugs, especially on certain maps and with certain classes.

The biggest problems happen when I’m playing with my Vanguard character on the Firebase White map. After a few waves, the charge attack begins behaving weirdly and, towards the end of most matches on that level, I end up floating above or below the map.

As you can imagine, this puts me in a bad situation, as I can’t help out my friends during those crucial final waves and the game doesn’t even register me when the match ends, which means everyone gets a Partial Extraction bonus, instead of the bigger Full Extraction.

Another peculiar bug I noticed on Firebase White relates to being killed in one area of the map, near the last ammunition box. When I was killed by a Geth Prime, my dead body teleported back to the initial spawn zone, on the other side of the map, and I was still alive.

Those playing characters who can throw Stasis attacks (e.g. Adepts) should also be careful, as a glitch makes the enemies they’ve incapacitated either sink slowly into the map or become invulnerable for a short time.

Of course, there are some bugs in the multiplayer that benefit the player, like the recent one that gives promoted characters the same powers they’ve had before going back to level 1, but these are few and far in between.

Let’s hope that BioWare releases a patch soon that will eliminate at least some of the problems that are encountered by players who engage in online Mass Effect 3 matches.
