Mary-Kate Olsen is known for being fiercely protective of her personal life but, for once, she’s let her guard down. She and much older boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy put on a very public display of affection at a recent game.

The actress turned very successful fashion designer and her 42-year-old beau went to the New York Knicks game at the Madison Square Garden on Friday, with his two kids in tow, but did not shy back from showing the world what they thought of all those nasty rumors making the rounds.

As The Huffington Post also notes, ever since word first got out that they were dating, earlier this year, many voices have been pointing out that the age gap alone would, of itself, eventually kill the romance.

As it turns out, it didn’t.

On the contrary actually, the two have never been closer and, judging by the photos snapped on their latest outing, one of which is also attached to this article, never less on their guard around the paparazzi.

“Since Sarkozy has about 16 years on her, a vexed ex-wife and two children who are approximately the same height as his pint-sized new girlfriend, it's hard not to notice when the couple packs on the PDA (as annoying as that phrase is, there's really no other way to describe their behavior),” the Post writes.

“The couple made themselves quite comfortable as they kissed, cuddled and whispered into each other's ears – all while seated next to his two children,” adds the same media outlet.

“We don't like to creep, but we also couldn't help but notice how much the French banker liked to pet his 26-year-old girlfriend. So perhaps the couple was trying to tell us something with their courtside canoodling. Something like, ‘Haters gonna hate’,” the Post further says.

Back in May, when news broke of the new man in Mary-Kate’s life, insiders were saying that the half-brother of the former French President had what all her other lovers lacked completely: maturity.
