Mary-Kate Olsen, former child star turned incredibly successful fashion designer, is one of them.
The 28-year-old, who became engaged to businessman Olivier Sarkozy earlier this year, has tied the knot in a secret ceremony. The happy news has already been confirmed, though not on the official channels.
Mary-Kate and Olivier step out with matching golden bands
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so the one attached to this article should serve as confirmation that Mary-Kate and Olivier have recently tied the knot. They were photographed together eating lunch in the Hamptons, and they’re both wearing simple golden bands on their ring finger.
If only one had worn it, you could have chalked this up to a coincidence and say he or she was just a fan of jewelry worn on the ring finger; since they’re both wearing one such ring and they seem to be matching, it’s probably 90 percent safe to assume they’re legally married.
Lucky magazine, which is also one of the celebrity publications to pick up on this tiny detail so casually included in the paparazzi photos, has confirmed the news with a source close to the couple. So yes, congratulations are in order for Mary-Kate and her husband!
A romance shielded from the media
Mary-Kate and Olivier, who is actually the brother of the former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, started dating a couple of years ago. Despite the occasional rumor making it out in print, they managed to avoid unwanted attention for months, until they felt confident enough in the relationship to go public with it.
When they moved in together in New York, they stopped hiding and would often attend basketball games together, exchanging kisses occasionally and clearly paying no mind to all the cameras greedily snapping away as they did this.
In December last year, one tipster told the glossies that Olivier had proposed to Mary-Kate (again!) and that she’d finally said “yes.” There was even talk of a fabulous, fashionable, and very big wedding ceremony in the works and plans to start working on a family as soon as it was over.

Those turned out to be just rumors because Mary-Kate seems to have tied the knot in complete secrecy, refusing to turn her most special day into a media circus. She was probably a very stylish and gorgeous bride, but chances of ever seeing photos from her big day are slim.
