14 DAY TRIAL // Mary-Kate Olsen has had her share of bad luck in love but she's ready to lift the curse. Right now, the actress and fashion designer is dating the younger brother of the former French president, Olivier Sarkozy, it has emerged.
There is an age gap but that was precisely what Mary-Kate was looking for: an older man because she's tired of boys her age, a source tells Us Weekly.
Rumors that she might be dating Sarkozy first started making the rounds after PageSix claimed they were spotted at a fancy party flirting and acting very much like they were on a date.
Us Weekly is now citing reliable sources who claim the two have been dating for just a month, but they're already head over heels.
“It's true, they're dating, and she's definitely interested in him,” one such spy tells the mag under the cover of anonymity.
As for the age difference (she is 25, he is 42), it doesn't bother either in the least.
“MK is constantly complaining about boys not being mature enough for her. She got the kids out of her system. Now being a businesswoman dominates her time, and she is rarely impressed with guys,” the insider explains.
“They are good for each other,” a second source says, also confirming the two are dating.
“The once-divorced Sarkozy split from his last serious girlfriend, actress Stella Schnabel, in March. On April 25, Sarkozy and Olsen attended a Knicks game together and hit the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend,” Us further explains.
Mary-Kate was last in a serious relationship with artist Nate Lowman, whom she broke up with two years ago.
Then again, the Olsen twins aren't exactly known for their willingness to have their private lives play out in the first pages of the tabloids, so it could just be that she dated other men as well, but we just don't know about it.
