Project management tool for Mac OS X Leopard

Project X is a project management application for Mac OS X. Developed by Marware, that also crafts sleeves and cases for Apple's portables, Project X, now at version 1.5, takes a redefined approach to traditional project management by focusing on collaboration, communication, and management. Easy data entry and workflows are the product's main offerings.

With the release of Project X 1.5, Marware has added a slew of enhancements, including a new flexible licensing system, 60% speed improvement, a duplicate command for duplicating tasks, milestones, resources, etc., dispersed resources to all child tasks when users drag and drop resources on subprojects, and new project templates for Law, Marketing, Software, to name a few.

One new feature in particular, and Marware's favorite according to the Project X site, is individual view settings for tasks in Network view. Marware claims that "this feature lets you display only the information you need or want to see for each individual task; giving you a whole new level of flexibility in organizing your project..."

Project X minimum requirements call for a PowerMac G3, G4, or G5 Processor or Macintosh Computer with Intel-based processor; 512MB RAM; CD drive for installation. Recommended hardware specs, according to the makers, include a PowerMac G5 Processor or Macintosh Computer with Intel-based processor, 1024MB RAM and the CD drive.
