Marvel Trading Card Game Cheats (DS)

The hit Trading Card Game and the Marvel Universe come together in the digital world, based on Upper Deck Entertainment's best-selling Vs. System Trading Card Game. Marvel Trading Card Game features the popular comic company's complete stable of characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers, Ghost Rider, the Fantastic Four, The Hulk and more.

You can assemble your deck and square off against super heroes and super villains in the game's story mode, against the AI (Artificial Intelligence), or go online in cross-platform play to take on other players from around the country, via the Nintendo DS' Wi-Fi capabilities.

The DS version had been released on May 22, 2007, while the PC version was pushed back later that year. The retail PC version has an additional single player mode, which is the exact same version that is on the PSP game, as well as on the DS version.

There is also a free, online-only client for the PC, which is available for download, but which doesn't have the single player mode integrated. This client supports online-only play, while the full retail version of the game also allows for single player campaigns, tutorials, puzzles etc. The actual cards for the PC free download used for online play are bought with Marvel Points, which are purchased with real money.

The game wasn't met with great expectations by fans, and industry critics and analysts complained about the fact that the game wasn't very intuitive, and that one's having to pay for the PC cards was not a very smart move. While the fact that the Marvel superheroes in this title might have attracted hardcore fans, the majority of the public wasn't very interested in the Marvel Trading Card Game.

CHEATS

Cheat mode
Select a new deck at the deck menu, then display the Editor Options menu. Select "Name Deck" and enter one of the following names to activate the corresponding cheat function. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

Complete card library (20 of each)
Enter “blvrtrsk” as a name.

All puzzles
Enter “whowantspie” as a name.
