It's a given fact that not everyone likes Martin Scorsese films, but when a member of the Academy chooses to speak out after the screening and shout at the acclaimed director, the media starts asking questions.

Apparently, after the screening of “Wolf of Wall Street” on December 21, at the official AMPAS members screening, someone from the Academy actually shouted his/her frustration at the director, screaming that he should be ashamed over the “disgusting” film he made.

The story was related by actress Hope Holiday in a Facebook post, “Tonight was torture at the Academy —The Wolf Of Wall Street'---three hours of torture--same disgusting crap over and over again---after the film they had a discussion which a lot of us did not stay for--the elevator doors opened and Leonardo D. Martin S. and a few others got out then a screen writer ran over to them and started screaming--shame on you –disgusting--.”

The name of the screen writer has not yet been revealed, but Holiday goes on to say that this outburst was “a shocker” and “very awkward and embarrassing” for everyone who witnessed it.

Martin Scorsese is currently busy promoting his latest (and possibly last) production, a film based on the life of a real Wall Street broker who gets rich through some shady contacts and even shadier methods. The film stars long-time Scorsese fan Leonardo DiCaprio, who has been present in 5 of his films.

As you'd imagine, the film portrays a lot of the decadence and the debauchery that comes with large sums of money earned really fast. This has undoubtedly angered some people from the film industry, who find Scorsese's latest effort “disgusting crap.” The black comedy is slated for release on Christmas Day in the US.
