Martin Lawrence confirms what we've all been waiting for: the "Bad Boys 3" sequel

It's been so long since the last “Bad Boys” movie, you can't really blame fans for not falling for the rumors about a sequel anymore. “Bad Boys 3” has been in the works for years, so much so, that it's been turned into an April Fools joke, so excuse us for not holding our breath this time around.

But Martin Lawrence, one of the main actors in both of the movies from the franchise, swears that the third part is getting made. The actor stopped by Conan on Wednesday, August 13, and confirmed the news that we've been waiting for since forever.

Conan asked his guest about many things but the discussion inevitably turned to “Bad Boys 3” and if the movie was ever getting made. Martin's response was “I believe so. Yes.”

He elaborated on the matter and added that “I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it's real, they're working on the script, they're getting close and it all looks good.”

Martin is all ready to appear in a new “Bad Boys” movie, but at this point it's unclear whether Will Smith, the second part of the duo of cops, will agree to reprise his role.

Back in July, Lawrence wrote to Smith on Facebook: “11 years ago today, Bad Boys II was released in theaters. Feelin' it's about time for number 3... what do you think Will Smith?“ but Smith never replied, which could be due to the fact that he's not so active on Facebook or that he really doesn't want to do the third movie.
