At 71 years old, media mogul Martha Stewart is more active, more confident, healthier and happier than ever. She’s also as beautiful as ever, proving that real beauty knows no age.

To promote her new book, “Living the Good Long Life: A Practical Guide to Caring for Yourself and Others,” Martha sat down for an interview with New You magazine, tackling topics such as her impressive career, her beauty secrets and her workout routine.

It might sound a bit cliché, but Martha insists that 70 is now the new 50, at least as far as she is concerned.

“Seventy is nothing like the 70 of 20 or 40 years ago. 70 is the new 50! Not everyone wants to retire, and very few people want to slow down,” she says of aging.

“It’s imperative to have a good diet that keeps you healthy. Maintaining a tiny waist is a very important factor in successful aging,” Martha continues.

“In your forties, you should start thinking about the rest of your life. By your fifties, you should have a good doctor and wellness routine set up,” she adds.

The other day, in her interview with Matt Lauer on The Today, Martha revealed that she’s quite a fan of exercise, which she gets both in her personal gym daily and around the house, doing chores such as gardening and the likes.

Her biggest beauty secret is “Unlimited amounts of very good moisturizer, with sunblock,” she says. Women must never underestimate the damages the sun can do on the skin if proper protection is not used.

In the same interview, Martha admits that her biggest regret is having just one child, and talks candidly about the setbacks she had in her career.

Rebuilding is harder than starting from scratch, she says, referring to how she had to get her empire back on track after serving time for insider trading.
