Martha Stewart Free; Ankle Bracelet To Come Off

Martha Stewart will finally be free, and her ankle bracelet, that bothered her so much, will come off at 12:05 a.m. ET Thursday.

Martha Stewart will finally be free, and her ankle bracelet, that bothered her so much, will come off at 12:05 a.m. ET Thursday, in the first minutes of the first day, bringing to an end months of home confinement.

According to Martha's probation officer, "she's allowed to snip the rubber band on the anklet herself, freeing her from what she has called her "hideous" confinement at her estate in Katonah, in Westchester County."

Martha Stewart aka "M. Diddy", born August 3, 1941, is a popular Polish-American television and magazine personality known for her cooking, gardening, etiquette, arts and crafts projects, but also as a general lifestyle guide and homemaker.

Starting in 2002 her career was rocked by a scandal involving her sale of shares in a drug company, days before its application for a new drug was denied.

Martha Stewart was eventually convicted of lying to investigators and sentenced to prison in 2004. She was released on March 4, 2005.

"The Apprentice: Martha Stewart", is currently scheduled to make its debut on NBC on September 21.
