14 DAY TRIAL // Comedy actor Marlon Wayans unintentionally caused some mild outrage online after throwing major shade at Australian pop star and The Voice coach Delta Goodrem on Instagram. The two crossed paths at a recent Jay Z and Beyonce concert but had no idea who the other was.
In fact, Marlon was so out of the loop as to who Delta was that he actually thought bashing her on social media for her horrible dancing was a good idea. He must not be following Nick Jonas’ love exploits, because that’s the other thing Delta is famous for.
He posted a photo of himself looking quite horrified, with Delta in the background clearly enjoying herself, and the caption “Man I got the most UNRHYTHMIC WHITE WOMAN dancing next to me at the jay and bay concert… This [B-word] dancing to AC/DC.”
There’s really no other way to take this but as a negative comment, and while Delta might not be big in the US or Europe, she’s a pretty huge star back home. Her fans immediately rushed to Marlon’s feed to tell him off for dissing her like this, even accusing him of being a racist.
Perhaps making matters worse, Delta still had no idea she was being mocked online by the time she too posted a photo from the concert, saying how much fun she’d had.
