Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Gabe Newell and Will.I.Am Want You to Start Coding – Video

There's a great push, mostly in Silicon Valley, to get people, kids in particular, to learn to code. There's nothing particularly wrong with that, though some of the more extreme views are that "everyone" should learn to code, which is probably not true.

In any case, to encourage more kids to leave their dreams of becoming an investment banker behind for the hard life of a Silicon Valley software engineer, which involves Google, Facebook and everyone in between courting you and six figure starting annual salaries, Code.org has gotten several tech luminaries to preach the gospel of code.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft's Bill Gates or Twitter's Jack Dorsey are all on board, but you'll spot plenty of people like Valve's Gabe Newell, Dropbox's Dre Houston or Zappos' Tony Hsieh in there.

There are also several other people working at Facebook, Valve and plenty of other big software companies providing their insight. Oh, and even Will.I.Am, no inspirational video would be complete without him.
