14 DAY TRIAL // Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg were married this weekend, and even though she was convinced Donnie’s much more famous brother Mark Wahlberg would attend the festivities, he wasn’t there. Instead, he sent in his well wishes via video, which he posted to his Instagram.
That must have hurt.
Shortly after Jenny and Donnie went public with their romance (they started dating in July 2013), one rumor was making the rounds, saying that his family did not approve of it. Moreover, it was said, the more ardently she wished to be accepted, the harder they rejected her.
No one disliked her more than Mark, insiders claimed at the time, who believed her to be a gold digger who would eventually break Donnie’s heart once she’d gotten everything she wanted out of him.
On Howard Stern’s radio show, Jenny denied the report, saying there was no truth to it. She even went on the record to say that Mark would be there at the wedding, adding that she’d met him a couple of months back and that they’d gotten along wonderfully.

As it turns out, Mark still hates Jenny or, at the very least, dislikes her enough to let his feelings take over and skip his brother’s big day. TMZ confirms that he wasn’t there when Jenny and Donnie exchanged “I Do-s” and that no one from his immediate family attended the ceremony.
“We're told Mark's wife Rhea did not like a recent interview Jenny gave with Howard Stern where she talked about her relationship with Mark,” the celebrity publication notes.
Mark isn’t the only one from the family to skip the wedding because brother Bobby also refused to go. Meanwhile, Donnie’s mother was unable to travel, so she wasn’t there either.
“Our sources say there's absolutely bad blood with Jenny. For what it's worth... brother Paul will be in attendance. More cake for him,” TMZ adds.
Shortly after this report emerged online, Mark confirmed this bit about not being at the wedding by posting the video below to his Instagram. It’s actually a congratulatory message for Donnie and Jenny, in which he’s saying that he wished he could be there, but he had to be at home with his family because it was his daughter’s 11th birthday and they were having a party in her honor.
Clearly, there was at least some truth to all those rumors about the Wahlbergs hating Jenny.
