The development team working on Call of Duty: Ghosts has already revealed that it will only use Kinect for interface purposes, but it seems that the franchise might in the future integrate motion tracking into its core gameplay.

Mark Rubin, a producer working on the series, tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, "So we haven’t jumped into that yet, but some really interesting things came up, some interesting ideas – especially the voice, there’s a lot of potential for voice in the game, and I’m hoping we can explore that."

In Ghosts, players will be able to use Kinect on the Xbox 360 and One in order to move through menus, but the device will not be linked to the actual gameplay of the first-person shooter.

There are other ideas that Infinity Ward, the game's developer, is exploring, but the producer says that they might not even be present in the final version of the title, despite the fact that they might add a new dimension to the experience.

He adds, "Whether it makes it into this game, I’m not a 100% sure, but definitely in the future I think there’s some really cool stuff there."

A recent trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts has revealed some elements taken from the single-player section of the game, including why the United States is devastated and unable to respond to foreign invaders.

The team has promised that it will deliver an emotional narrative, but much of the success of the game will be linked to the multiplayer side of it, which is also getting significant improvement.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be launched on November 5 worldwide on the PC, the PlayStation 3, the Wii U from Nintendo and the Xbox 360.

The PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One will also get access to the shooter when they are launched, in November.
